Cheri Lou Harter September 22, 1959 -December 15, 2012 Cheri Lou Harter, 53, of Centre Hall, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Born on Sept. 22, 1959, in Bellefonte, she is a daughter of the late Glenn and Jean (Lingle) Harter. She was a 1977 graduate of Penns Valley High School and had attended Penn State University. She had been employed at Hosterman's and Confer's Markets in the Penns Valley Area. Cheri was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles; Penn State Lady Lions basketball, volleyball and other Penn State athletics; the Boston Red Sox; Syracuse men's basketball; and NASCAR. She also enjoyed spending time on Facebook and keeping up with family and friends. Ms. Harter is survived by one son, Nathan S. Harter, of State College; one sister, Carol Cramer (Gerald), of Bellefonte; three brothers, Corey Harter (Cindy), of Pleasant Gap, Craig Harter (Patty), of Centre Hall, and Charles Harter, of Milesburg; and nieces and nephews. A viewing and memorial gathering of family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall. An informal time of sharing memories and the ways Cheri touched lives will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
