Eliza was the daughter of Barnett Blue (direct descendant of John Blue, Romney, WV.) and Elizabeth Ann Bush whose great-grandfather, Leonard Bush fought in Lord Dunsmore's War and in the Revolution (Pendleton County, VA.) and whose mother, Phoebe Peterson, a descendant of John Jacob Peterson (b. Switzerland, lived in Augusta County, VA.). The mother of Phoebe Peterson was Eva Harper, who was captured by the Indians and whose story will be found in the History of Pendleton County by Morton.

Her Obituary:
Mrs. Eliza J. Trissal, aged 71 years, mother of W. G. Trissal, Mrs. F. B. Kimball and Mrs. Chas Kimball Sr., died in this city, Saturday night at 11:30 o'clock at the home of F. B. Kimball.
Mrs. Trissal lived with her son, on his farm west of town. She kept house for him. She had been in fairly good health for a woman her age until Saturday morning. A physician was summoned and she was brought in an automobile to the home of her daughter, Mrs. F. B. Kimball. She went to sleep in bed and died without waking up.

Funeral services will be held at the home of F. B. Kimball Tuesday, August 5, at 9 o'clock a.m., conducted by Rev. A. D. Wagner of the Methodist Church. Interment in the Neodesha cemetery.
Eliza J. Blue was born at Platt City, Mo. At the age of 10 years she went to Peru, Indiana where she grew to womanhood and in 1861 she married Noah W. Trissal. He died there seven years ago. Soon after his death Mrs. Trissal came to Neodesha to visit her daughters. Mrs. F. B. Kimball and Mrs. Chas. Kimball, Sr. and while she was here her son, W. G. Trissal, sold his Indiana farm and bought the farm he now owns west of town and his mother went to live with him. Besides the two daughters and one son, Mrs. Trissal leaves four brothers, George Blue of Peru, Indiana, Barnett Blue of Alexandria, Indiana, and Wm. and John Blue of Montana. None of the brothers can come to the funeral.

When a young girl Mrs. Trissal joined the Christian church and after her marriage joined the Baptist church in which faith she adhered to her death. Though not known here by the entire community, owing to her advanced age and her residence, it is evidenced by the character of the children she raised two of whom have lived in Neodesha for years, that she was a woman of fine character and strong personality.
