Opal Viola Parrish, 91, of Fayetteville passed away Sunday, December 16 , 2012 in Fayetteville.
She was born March 24, 1921 in Brentwood, Arkansas the daughter of Thomas and Lillie Hutchens Jamerson.
She was a member of the Greenland Church of Christ. Attended a one room school house at Black Oak, Arkansas and worked as a Cook for the Greenland School System.
Preceded in death by both parents, 2~brothers and 2~sisters.
Survivors include her husband, O.D. Parrish of the Fayetteville; 3~daughters and 3~sons, Norma Posey and husband, Dave of Fayetteville, Garry Parrish and wife, Janet of Eads, TN, Gerald Parrish and wife, Brenda of Mt Juliet, TN, Charles Parrish and wife, Nancy of Goodlettsville, TN, Nadine Huddleston and husband, Mike of Fayetteville and Nedra Crider and husband, Mike of Smithfield, VA; 1~sister, Geneva Doss of Winslow; 11~grandchildren; 15~great-grandchildren and 1~great-great-grandchild.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 17, 2012 at Beard's Funeral Chapel with Mr. Bobby Dockery officiating. Burial will be in Black Oak Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:00 ~ 2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
