William L. Uhor, 91, of Mt. Pleasant RD5 (Springertown), died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born June 3, 1911, in Charleroi, a son of the late John and Mary Debnar Uhor. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co. and had retired as a self-employed TV and radio repair man. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant daughter, Catherine Louise Uhor; an infant granddaughter, Stephanie Makar; five infant siblings; four sisters; and four brothers. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are his loving wife of 66 years, Catherine Swiderski Uhor; four children, Mary Jane Makar and husband, Steve, of Greensburg RD5, Rosalie Pfrogner of Mt. Pleasant RD5, Janice Racan and husband, Alan, of Fairmont, W.Va., and William J. Uhor of Mt. Pleasant RD5; six grandchildren, Christen Stercho, Steven Makar, Kevin Makar, Frank Pfrogner, Kimberly O'Wade and Bradley Pfrogner; six great-grandchildren, Tyler and Garrett Stercho, Sarah Makar, Corbin Makar, Spencer Pfrogner and Kaylin O'Wade; and nieces and nephews. Friends received Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt. A wake service will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 8:30 p.m. A blessing service will be held Friday at 10:20 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Monsignor William Charnoki and the Rev.
