Samuel Timbrook Van Dyke of Long Branch died last Thursday afternoon, aged 71 years. His death was caused by heart disease and he was sick only a few days. Mr. Van Dyke was the son of Catherine and Henry Van Dyke and he was born at Branchport June 9th, 1827. He was engaged in the hotel business in New York when a young man, but had conducted a restaurant at Long Branch for 35 years. Five children survive him.
