BELCHER, Lawrence "Johnny" Eugene, 75, of Chesterfield, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2012.

Born in Petersburg, Va., he was the son of the late Frank and Bertha Belcher.

He was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Sarah Elaine Cheeks.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife, Jean Belcher; daughter, Rhonda Belcher; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Jesse Cheeks; sister, Mildred Spain; brother, Gibson Belcher; five brothers-in-law, Ralph Belcher Jr., Lawrence R. Belcher and his wife, Linda, Robert Belcher and his wife, Sue, Gerald Belcher and his wife, Pat, and Donald Belcher; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Belcher and Shirley Nislar and her husband, Lou.

The family will receive family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Southlawn Memorial Park, with interment after.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ettrick Matoaca Rescue Squad, 5711 River Rd., Petersburg, Va. 23803.
