ELAINE ELIZABETH LUNDGREN CARLSON, 90 ROWLETT, TEXAS - Elaine Elizabeth Lundgren Carlson, 90, of Rowlett passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007. She was born Oct. 5, 1916 in Rockford, IL to Gustaf (Herb) and Ruby (Lanning) Lundgren. Married Russell H. Carlson on May 29, 1937; they were married 64 years before his death in 2001. She was employed by the Rockford public schools and Janet Wattles Mental Health Center. Mrs. Carlson and her husband were members of Our Saviour Lutheran Church. Her family and friends will remember her for her gentle, loving ways, the beautiful needlework she created and her love for world travel. Survivied by daughter, Karen (Stephen) Kahl of Rockwall; son, Craig (Sylvia) Carlson of Nicasio, CA; grandchildren, Kirsten (David) Armstrong, Andrew (Suzanne) Kahl, Larissa (Paul) Scuba and Heidi (Brian) McCrary; great-grandchildren, Anna and Natalie Kahl, Ethan and Addison McCrary and Ellasyn Scuba. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Richard G. Lundgren and Bruce H. Lundgren. There will be a private graveside service in Rockford at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.
