Frederick was the son of Frederick John Bennett of probably Magalloway Plantation, Oxford County, Maine and Sadie Johnson Blakely Bennett of possibly Maine, or New Hampshire. Sadie and Frederick were married about 1912 in possibly Maine or New Hampshire. Sadie and Fred had one child. Frederick L. Bennett was born on 09 September 1915 in probably Wilsons Mills, Oxford County, Maine.

Frederick married Ruth Hartlen about 1940 in possibly Coos County, New Hampshire, or Oxford County, Maine. Ruth and Frederick had no children.

Note: He enlisted in the U.S. Army, 29th Infantry, and was a Private First Class. He was killed in the Normandy Invasion on 06 June 1944, and was awarded the Purple Heart ... (from the History of Wilsons Mills Maine, USA and the Magalloway Settlements).
