He was born in Portsmouth on December 28, 1955 and was a graduate of Minford High School. In addition to working in the Colonial Florist greenhouses, he specialized in lawn maintenance.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Laack of Wheelersburg; one son, James Laack of Portsmouth; his father, Carl Laack of Portsmouth; one brother, Kevin Laack of Greenup, Kentucky; and lifelong friend, Matt Humble of Portsmouth.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathryn June Laack.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 19, 2012, at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Wolfe - Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville is handling the arrangements.
