Entered the service on December 2nd 1941, from Arkansas.
Awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster
First time wound in august 1944.

He died in the wurselen area. On November 18th 1944.
At the time he died his unit was taking part in an operation designed to take the town of Gereonsweiler east of the Wurm River in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, but after an initial success the Germans counter-attacked and the unit was forced to retreat to the village of Puffendorf.
