Lydia Cordelia Farnsworth Fisher, age 96, passed away quietly on July 20, 1998.
Born October 27, 1901 in Moab, Utah, to Benjamin Lafayette and Delphia Lutz Farnsworth. Fifth of eight children. Grew up in Moab, Provo and Garland, Utah. Served a mission to the Northern States Mission and married Kimball Fisher in the Salt Lake Temple, June 1, 1929. Worked side by side with her husband in their family drug store. Active in the LDS Church, serving in many callings, including 15 years as a temple worker and supervisor in the Salt Lake Temple. Served a mission with her husband in the Roanoke, Virginia Mission, 1970 - 1972.Survived by her four children: James B. (Marlene) Fisher, Salt Lake City, Utah; Zoe (Avon) Francis, Salt Lake City, Utah; Chad K. (Patricia) Fisher, Draper, Utah; and Monte (Darlene) Fisher, Bethesda, Maryland; 19 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband and all of her brothers and sisters.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 23, 1998, 2 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, where friends may call from 1:00-1:45 p.m. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
