James Duane Wylie, 70, of Brighton Township, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Heritage Valley, Beaver, with his family at his side.
Born September 13, 1942, in Elizabeth, PA, he was a son of the late James J. and Mary A. Wylie and had been a resident of Brighton Township for 40 years. He retired from the Duquesne Light Company, Raccoon Office after 40 years, and also retired as the treasurer of Duq-Lite Employees Federal Credit Union. A 50 year member of Lodge #209 I.O.O.F Odd Fellows of Elizabeth, he attended Vanport Presbyterian Church.
Preceding him in death, besides his parents, was his mother-in-law, Hazel J. Barton.
Surviving is his wife, Judith A. Barton Wylie, whom he married on June 28, 1969; a son, James David Wylie and wife, Amy, Center Township; a daughter, Lisa Arlene Krovisky and husband, Michael C. Jr., Chippewa; a sister, Clara J. (Milo) Hindman, Glassport, PA; father-in-law, Hobart M. Barton, Elizabeth, PA; five grandchildren, Michael, Mitchell and Grace Krovisky, and Nathan and Jacob Wylie. He is also survived by his wife's family, eight nieces and nephews and many friends.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. in the NOLL FUNERAL HOME INC., 333 Third St., Beaver. The Reverend David Byers will conduct the funeral service. Interment will follow at the Beaver Cemetery.
