Duayne Francis Nichelson, 78, of Lincoln, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012.
He was born on October 23, 1934, to Herbert and Bertha (Hamburger) Nichelson in Greeley County. Duayne was a High School graduate of Wahoo High School class of 1952. He received an Honorable discharge from the U.S. Air force.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Bertha Nichelson; wife, Charlotte (Chism) Nichelson, on November 15, 2011; and two brothers.
Duayne is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Mark (Jaci) Nichelson, Mike (Kim) Vitamvas, Steven (Connie) Vitamvas, Terry (Peggy) Vitamvas, Kevin Vitamvas, Gary (Mary) Gilliland, Larry Gilliland; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle (Justin) Henry; brother, Marvin Nichelson; thirteen grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at Wadlow Rozanek Funeral Home, 5200 R Street, with Chaplin Jim Cumming officiating. Interment will be held at Wyuka Cemetery. Memorials to the family for future designation.
