Harriet Hazel (Adkins) Olson, 67, of Vancouver, Washington, passed away at Carmen's Quality Care Home in Vancouver, Washington on December 13, 2012. She was born on April 6, 1945 at the Vancouver Memorial Hospital in Vancouver, Washington to Berniece Adkins (Meyer) and Lloyd O. Adkins. She graduated from Ridgefield High School in Ridgefield, Washington in 1963.
Harriet retired from SEH American Inc. and was an inspector. She was a charter member of Pleasant View Church of the Nazarene in Ridgefield, Washington and loved God, Family, Church and the Christmas Season.
Harriet is survived by her daughters, Sandra Marsh (Buzz Marsh) of Vancouver, Washington, Susan Anderson (Jeff Anderson) of Ridgefield, Washington, Sheryl Carlson (Jim Carlson) of Vancouver, Washington; brother, Gary Adkins (Lona Adkins) of Ridgefield, Washington; sisters, Fairy Trowbridge (Norm Trowbridge) of Overland Park, Kansas, Diane Whitesel (Frank Whitesel) of Battle Ground, Washington; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd O. and Berniece Adkins; and sister, Donna Hoffman.
A graveside service was held for family and close friends at Memory Memorial Park in Vancouver, Washington on Saturday, December 22, 2012 and a memorial service at Pleasant View Church of the Nazarene, 801 NE 194th St., Ridgefield, Washington.
Memorial donations may be made to the Pleasant View Nazarene Teen Outreach in Ridgefield, Washington or American Cancer Society.
