He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church. he was a retired teacher for Green County Board of Education. and a Vietnam Veteran, having served in the United States Navy.
Surviving include two sons and daughters-in-lawsTrae and Tammy Pickett, of Greensburg, , and John David Pickett and Lori Pickett, of Campbellsville; two grandchildren Layke Pickett of Greensburg, Ky., and Kightley Pickett of Campbellsville, a sister and brother-in-law Connie Moss Crockett and A. L. Crockett of Louisville; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Lawrence Edwin "Eddie" Pickett of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late L.E. "Chick" Pickett and Christine Nunn Pickett, was born on March 7, 1948 in Green County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 64 years, nine months, and 14 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church. He was a retired teacher for the Green County Board of Education, and a Vietnam Veteran having served in the United States Navy.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Trae and Tammy Pickett of Greensburg, and John David and Lori Pickett of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Layke Pickett of Greensburg, and Keightley Pickett of Campbellsville; a sister and brother-in-law: Connie Moss Crockett and A.L. Crockett of Louisville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Pickett was also preceded in death by a niece and nephew: Rhonda Driggers and Clay Crockett.

The funeral services for Mr. Lawrence Edwin "Eddie" Pickett will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, December 23, 2012 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Greensburg Cemetery. Bro. Dale Curry and Bro. Kent Penick will be officiating.
Visitation is requested from 4 until 8 P.M., Saturday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Sunday until time of the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the American Legion Rod Lowe Post #124, which can be made at the funeral home.
