John was the son of Son of James W. and Emily A. (Jones) Wrenn. He married Mary Louemma Langley in 1915 and they were the parents of six children: Mozelle Mary, William Howard, John Frank, Jabe Lee, Ethel Mae and Ressie Herman.

Dies At Butner
John Robert Wrenn of Route 1, Guilford College, died this morning at the state hospital at Butner, following an illness of two years.
A lifelong resident of Guilford County, he was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, the former, Lou Emma Langley of the home; four sons, W. H. and J. F. Wrenn of Guilford College, J. L. Wrenn, Greensboro and R. H. Wrenn of Staley; two daughters, Mrs. R. B. Bryson and Mrs. G. H. Kirkman of Greensboro, one brother, Capt. L. R. Wrenn of Greensboro; and six grandchildren.
The body was scheduled to arrive at Forbis and Murray Funeral Home today and remain there pending funeral arrangements.
