On the headstone the last name is spelt Eisenbrown even though they went all of their lives with the German spelling of Eisenbraun. I do not know if this was a decision made by daughter Catharina Margareth when she had the bodies moved from Glenwood Cemetery in 1914 or if this is an error on the part of the stone cutter.

Married to Catharina Margaretha Schmidt - Children Mathilda, Christian Gottlieb, Catharina Margareth, Philipp Heinrich, Maria Magdalena, Amelia Carolina and Johann Wilhelm whose name changed to William H(ans) Eisenbrown.

died of Smallpox
