County Resident Dies Early Today
Services are set for Mrs. Schreckengast Greenwood, July 6 -
An illness of two days resulted in the death of Mrs.Marthena O. Schreckengast in the Johnson County Memorial Hospital Wednesday morning at 6:20 o'clock. Funeral services have been set for 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon in the Smith's Valley E. U. B. church. The Rev. W. F. Brown, church pastor, will be in charge of the services and burial will take place in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery in White River township. Friends may call at the J. C. Wilson funeral home after 7 o'clock Wednesday evening, Thursday from 2 until 5 p.m., 7 to 9 o'clock and Friday until time for the services. They are invited to attend the rites.
BORN IN COUNTY
The daughter of the late Frank and Etta Banta Mullinix, Mrs. Schreckgast was born April 27, 1890 in White River Township and had received her education in the Center Grove schools. Thirty-seven years ago she became the bride of Vernon Schreckengast and one son was born to them. She had spent her entire life in that community. Mrs. Schreckengast was a member of the Smith's Valley E. U. B. church for many years and was a member of Friendly Sunday school class of the church. The survivors are the husband, her son, William O. Schreckengast, of Chicago, Ill; a sister, Miss Aline Mullinix, two brothers, Herschel Mullinix and Clyde Mullinix, all of Indianapolis
