Violet P. Gaddis, 91, died June 13 after a long illness.

Born in Moundsville, W. Va., she was an Akron resident most of her life. She worked for Akwell Industries for 38 years, retiring in 1966. She was a member of Evangel Temple.

Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, daughter, Wanda Sommerville, and son, Jack, and is survived by son, Roy (Alice) Gaddis of Manchester, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
