Ruth Adcox, 79, a resident of West College Street, Fayetteville, died Thursday (August 27, 1998) at Lincoln Skill Care. A retired homemaker, Mrs. Adcox was the daughter of the late James Samuel Darnell and Willie B. McAdams Darnell. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Adcox, and two sons, Charles and Danny Adcox. Survivors include four daughters, June Cunningham of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Roberta Christmas and Judy Flynt, both of Fayetteville, and Patricia Hopper of Lewisburg; one son, Randy Adcox of Fayetteville; several brothers and sisters; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Burgess officiating. Interment was at Riverview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lincoln Sill Care, P. O. Box 838, Fayetteville, TN 37334. Higgins Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Ruth Adcox, 79, of 910 College St. died Thursday at a Lincoln County nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Burgess officiating.
Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Adcox was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Adcox and Danny Adcox.
