Mrs. Angelica Gill, native of Washington, whose birthplace was on the Cowlitz prairie, died Monday evening, January 14, at the home of her daughters, Mrs. Amelie Barnes, in Tacoma.
She was the daughter of Simon Plomondon, one of Washington's earliest pioneers. In the early days when the Indians were fighting the whites, Mrs. Gill acted as a scout with the Cowlitz Indians, who were friendly with the whites, and joined them in the war.
Besides her daughter, Mrs. Barnes, Mrs. Gill is survived by three other daughters, Mrs. Ann Julius and Mrs. S. Plomondon of Vader, WA and Mrs. Kate Bradock of Chehalis; two sons: Joseph and Frank Gill of Moclips; and a brother, John Plomondon.
Deceased was 89 years of age. Burial was at Centralia Wednesday.
