She was born on May 11, 1919, in Muncie, the daughter of John and Myrtle Hardesty.
She had attended the Muncie city schools.
Martha also had attended Jackson Park Baptist Church where she enjoyed being part of the many services there. Miss Hardesty enjoyed watching television, doing cross word puzzles, writing poems and riding the Mits buses throughout town. She was known to be very sociable and so it's easy to see why she enjoyed talking on the telephone and going to McDonalds to visit with friends.
Survivor's include, three friends, Dee Foster and Faye Belt both of Muncie and Bailiegh Wiemer, Redkey.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday afternoon, December 28, 2012, 2:00 P.M. at the Beech Grove Cemetery with Pastor Steve Dugger officiating. Parson Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Jackson Park Baptist Church, 3611 S. Post Rd., Muncie, IN 47302.
