Mrs. Esther (Boring) Shearman, 57, of Tanneryville, R. D. 1, died at 7:15 o'clock last evening at her home.
A daughter of Frank and Rebecca (Hale) Boring, Mrs. Shearman was born in Johnstown on July 21, 1885.
She was married twice, the first time to Gilbert Hess, who died 13 years ago.
Surviving are her second husband, William Shearman; a son, Guy Hess, Wilmore; a grandson, Jason Hess, Wilmore, and seven stepchildren - Clarence Shearman, Tanneryville; Darrell and Harry Shearman, both of Fairfield Ave.; Alvin Shearman, Seward; Mrs. Grace Edmiston and Mrs. Risella Miller, both of Gas Center, and Donald Shearman, with the U. S. Marine Corps in Washington State. Mrs. Shearman was a sister of Mrs. Eliza Hess and Mrs. Myrtle Rector, both of Tanneryville; Mrs. Levina Sprague, Pittsburgh, Mrs. Stella Ribblett, rear 187 Boyer St.; Mrs. Maria De Armin, Leechburg; Benjamin Boring, Canton, O.; Charles Boring, Wilson St.; Norman Boring, Decker Ave.; Raymond and Claude Boring, both of Tanneryville, and Joseph Boring, Fairfield Ave.
Friends are being received at the home, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon by Rev. D. A. Miller, pastor of the Cooper Ave. Evangelical Church.
Burial will be in Benshoff Cemetery under the direction of A. A. Wagner.
