Second child and eldest son of Garret E and Eleanor (Boyce) Eastmond. Brother of Vivian, Harold, Albert, Eleanor, Lemuel & twins Catherine & Francis.

He grew up in Keyport, New Jersey. His parents divorced about 1926 or 1927. His mother remarried around 1942 to Otto Gable.

Edward married Catherine Phyllis Havens (b. 1916) in about July or August of 1933. They resided in Union Beach, NJ. Raised a family of eight children, born from 1934 to 1942: Catherine, David, Edward Jr., Virginia, William, Marilyn, Walter and Carole.

He and his wife first became grandparents in Jan. 1958 with the birth of Francis "Frank" Poling Jr. Their second grandson, Frank Fuller Jr., was born in April 1958.

His wife died in 1983 at age 67. Edward died at age 80 in 1989. Survived by his eight children, 22 grandchildren (born between 1958 amd 1973) and an unknown number of great-grandchidren.
