Carl C. Hoag, 62, of Richfield Springs RD 2, died Wed. Dec. 1, at his home after a long illness.
Mr. Hoag was born in Fort Plain March 5, 1911, a son of Frank and May Lelah Winegar Hoag. He attended schools in Fort Plain and was employed for seven years by Stewart Berger Hardware Company, Fort Plain.
He married Geneva Johnson on Novemder 23, 1938 in Fort Plain.
The couple came to their present home and operated a dairy farm. He joined the Air Force in 1942, serving during Worl War II.
He is survived by his wife, a daughter Mrs. Bernard (Carol) Peplinski of RD 1 Mohawk, two sons, Robert Hoag of Herkimer and Richard Hoag at home and eight grandchildren.
