Nora was born in Waterbury March 15, 1914, daughter of the late Patrick and Elizabeth C. (Chambers) Nolan. She was a manager at Beltone Hearing Aid Center until her retirement. She was a past president of the Quota Club of Waterbury, and a member of the Mill Plain Chapter Happy Timers singing group. She was a lifelong communicant of Immaculate Conception Church.
She leaves three sons and daughters-in-law, James D. and Joanne Atwood of West Haven, Edward J. and Patricia Atwood of Watertown, and Steven R and Marcia Atwood of North Las Vegas, Nev.; a son-in-law, William F. Coss Jr. of Waterbury; 12 grandchildren; and many great and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Barbara Atwood Coss. In addition, she was the last of 11 children, predeceased by her brothers Joseph, Thomas, Eugene, John, Francis and Daniel Nolan, and sisters Emma Nolan, Gert Gamache and Kate Gleason.

Arrangements: Funeral will leave the Kelly-Brennan Funeral Home, 768 Baldwin St., at 9 a.m. Saturday for the Basilica of Immaculate Conception for Mass at 10. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be held today from 5 to 8 p.m.
