Samuel Caver, Jr. was the son of Samuel Caver, Sr., of Orangeburg District, SC. He married Elizabeth Miller. He moved his family to Autauga County, Ala., in the 1820s. He later went to Union County, Arkansas with his son, James M. Caver, and bought property. However, Samuel died of Typhoid Fever shortly after his arrival.
