Confederate veteran John Bradley was born November 14, 1842 in Randolph County, Missouri to William R. Bradley and Martha Rowland. John Bradley enlisted in the Confederate Army September 1864 with Perkin's Brigade, Blocker's Missouri Cavalry. He was later transferred to artillery.
He surrendered in May 1865 citing he was unable to compete with the enemy. in his pension application and was discharged shortly after. He settled in Lorena, McLennan County, Texas after the War and was admitted to the Confederate Men's Home in Austin in 1921 and died there April 15, 1932.
