Edmeston -
The funeral of Mrs. Bertha Deming, a former resident of Edmeston, now of New Lisbon was held Sunday afternoon at the Houk Funeral Home, Edmeston at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Donald Benoit, pastor of the Second Baptist church officiating. Burial was made in the Edmeston Union cemetery. Mrs. Deming was born April 2, 1877 in New Lisbon, the daughter of Ziba and Maria (Barton) Carleton. She died at the Chase Memorial hospital, New Berlin, Wednesday, October 28th, 1953 after an illness of less than a week. Mrs. Deming was married to Lyman Deming in 1906 and he died in 1946. Since his death, she had made her home with her son, Aden Deming in New Lisbon.
She was a nurse by occupation.
