Juanita Marion (Scharf) Goff
Juanita Marion (Scharf) Goff, 83, of Waldport, Ore. died at her home on Dec. 23, 2012.
She was born July 14, 1929 in Chicago, Ill., to Joseph John and Edith Ann (Euler) Scharf. Juanita was a retired vocational nurse. She enjoyed knitting, reading mysteries, puzzle books, and computer games.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Ann Magsam; brother, Donald Scharf, and nephew, Donald F. Scharf.
She is survived by daughters, Juanita Herrera of Silverton, and Rose (Paul) Shields of Claremont, Calif.; son, Joe (Kim) Goff of Salem, Ill.; sister, Claire (Frank) Brodkin of Mulberry, Ark.; grandchildren Randy Ebersole of Nevada, Daniel, Jennifer (Brian) and Andrew Herrera of Oregon, Scott (Tiffany) and David Shields of California, and Thomas, Brittany, and Melissa Goff of Illinois; five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A vigil was held on Dec. 27 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Waldport. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 28 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Waldport, with burial to follow at Bellevue Park in Ontario, Calif.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations be made to the Saint Vincent de Paul Society in Juanita's name. Bateman Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
