Emma came to Texas about 1885. In 1893, she married Eduard Jahnz at Welcome Lutheran Church in Austin County. They later moved to Fayette County. Emma and Eduard had 5 daughters: Mary, Elsa, Frieda, Ida, and Lina. Eduard died in 1921.
In 1930, Emma married Gottlieb Grams, the widowed husband of her sister, Auguste. Emma is buried between her two husbands at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery at Round Top.
