She was born Feb. 14, 1928, in Kitzmiller, MD, a daughter of the late George and Marie Spiker.
Betty was a longtime 20-year employee of both Sterling Faucet and the late PI Beta Phi Sorority House. She was a Methodist by faith.
Betty is survived by her husband of 65 years, George H. "Granddad" Prentice; two daughters and spouses, Mary Edith and Allen Johnson, of Brookhaven, and Mildred Jean and Wilbert Austin, of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Todd Austin, Jody Cooper and Pam Griffetts, of Fort Wayne, Roy Utt Jr., of Rome, GA, and Beverly Bracken, of Brookhaven; and seven great-grandchildren.
Burial was at the Gladesville Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Cain officiating.
