Mr. McConahy, who was born in Spokane. He was a lifetime resident of the Foothills area in the Spokane Valley.
He was a 1942 West Valley High School graduate and served in the Army during World War II and the Korean War.
Mr. McConahy married Betty DeLage in 1951. He worked for Spokane Plastics for many years before retiring in 1981. He also farmed in the Green Bluff and Foothills communities.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Greg McConahy and Steve McConahy, and two daughters, Terrie Calkins and Laurel Sagierski, all of Spokane; three sisters, Bea Kuonen and Marge Bliesner, both of Spokane, and Betty Hendrix of Portland; a brother, George McConahy of Spokane; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
