John Adam is the fifth child of Peter Ginther and his second wife Elizabeth (Schwartz)Ginther. John was married twice and had children by each wife.

1) Lydia Demuth b. 20 Sep 1804 in Sharon,Tuscarawas Co.,OH.Her parents are John G. Demuth and Elizabeth Rhoads.Married 20 Feb 1821 and she died about 1825. Children were six in number:
