Raymond Grant Keithley, age 89, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012, at Risen Son Christian Village.
Raymond was born April 15, 1923, in Seneca, Kan., to Willis and Louise Cornelius Keithley and served his country in the US Army from 1943 to 1945. He was united in marriage to Avis F. McCoy on August 15, 1942. Ray worked in farming and at Wonder Bread before retiring from Old Home Co. as their Sanitation Supervisor. Raymond was a member of the Methodist faith and enjoyed his retirement, traveling and being with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Avis; children and spouses, Janet Goos and husband, Lynn, of Silver City, Iowa, Sheryl Hansen and husband, Roger, Judd and wife, Cheryl, Dennis and wife, Cindi, all of Council Bluffs, Steve and wife, Patti, of Glenwood, Iowa; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
