Mrs. Jessie L. Tucker, West Jefferson street, a resident of Springfield for many years, died at 5 p.m. yesterday at St. John's hospital. She was 69 years old. Death followed a stroke of paralysis suffered a month ago. Mrs. Tucker was the widow of W. R. Tucker, who for a number of years was engaged in the wholesale leather business in Springfield. He died four years ago. Mr. Tucker also for some years was associated with the Leiber Leather Co. of St. Louis. Mr. and Mrs. Tucker divided their time between Springfield and Mexico, Mo., where they maintained a home, for twenty years before his death. Recently Mrs. Tucker had disposed of her property there and had returned to Springfield to reside.
She is survived by two step-daughters, Mrs. William M. Baldwin and Miss Ellen Tucker, both of St. Louis; a granddaughter, Carol Baldwin, St. Louis; one sister, Mrs. G. M. Palmer, Natoma, Kan.; an aunt, Mrs. Louise Chilton, Summersville, Mo., and two cousins, Mrs. Ethel McTheeters, San Francisco, and Mrs. C. E. Randall, Wichita, Kan.
