Early Wright Burns, 79, of Gardendale and formerly of Blount County, passed away in a Birmingham hospital September 10. He was a member of Gardendale Methodist Church and a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include two sisters, Miss Nona B. Burns of Gardendale and Mrs. Porah B. Byrum of Altoona route two; one brother, Jesse M. Burns of Altoona route two.
Funeral services were conducted at the Gardendale Church September 12 with interment in Moncrief Cemetery.
