Debra Greer Roberds age 60, a life-long resident of Grand Prairie, Texas, died Friday, December 28, 2012 at Ethicus Hospital in Grapevine. Born December 15, 1952 in Dallas, she was the daughter of Wayne Hershel Greer and Juanita Mudd Greer. She graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1970. She married Luther P. Roberds October 4, 2003 in Irving. Preceded in death by her parents and a sister Darla Fouch, she is survived by her husband Luther P. Roberds of Grand Prairie; a son Brandon Wayne Pierce and wife Connie of Arlington; grandchildren, Brandon Kobe Pierce and Corin Flanagan; step-daughter, Jacqueline Ann Coleman and husband Wayne of Matagorda, Texas; a sister Sandy Perry and husband Dean of Prosper, Texas; a niece Lindsey Perry of Gatlinburg, TN; a nephew Bryan Perry of Arlington; an aunt of Irving; and lifelong friends that are as close as sisters, Debra Kitchens of Irving, and Donna Davis of Arlington. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2013 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 W. Airport Freeway in Irving. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA, or the American Cancer Society.
