The former Dora Mae Burkett was born in Lock Haven on March 19, 1923, to the late Roy M. and Pearl Martz Burkett.
A 1941 graduate of Lock Haven High School, she was married to LeRoy A. Wenker on Feb. 12, 1943. The two had celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary earlier this year, just shortly before LeRoy’s death in late February.
