He was the son of Thomas Edmonds and Margaret A.
He enlisted at Stribling Springs on Jan 1, 1863
and was on the last muster roll on Oct 31, 1864.
He married Emily Margaret Long, daughter of George M. and Barbara (Bowman) Long, at Shenandoah County, VA on Jan. 10, 1869. They moved that year to Connellsville, PA
where he went to work for the B&O railroad as a carpenter. Thomas died in 1911.
