LaFAYETTE Jean Aters Day Hightower, 78, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011.Preceded in death by her husbands, Harold "Buster" Day and J.D. Hightower; parents, Robert and Hester Green Aters; sisters, Mary Lee Elam and Alice England; brothers, J.W. Aters and John Aters.Survived by daughters, Pamela Day, Donna and husband, Marty Brown; sisters, Lola and husband, Raymond Railey, all of LaFayette and Hazel White, of West Armurchee; granchildren, Justin Brown, Garrett (Amanda) Brown; great-grandchildren, Austin Mitchell, Brett Brown, Casey Brown, Dawson Brown and Anna Grace Brown; several nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral from the Wallis Memorial Chapel at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Service conducted by Minister Jim Saunier.Pallbearers are Justin Brown, Garrett Brown, Rodney Collins, Dennis England, Brian Day, and Ben Day.Interment in LaFayette Memory Gardens.Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 1 p.m. until service time.Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home.
