Esther P. Sleeger, 96, died January 1, 2013, at the York Hospital. She was the wife of the late George B. Sleeger. Esther was born on October 26, 1916, in York, a daughter of the late Eddie C. and Nettie Mae (Ness) Raver. She retired as a weaver from the New York Wire Cloth Co. after 40 years of service. She was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, North York. The viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc. 902 Mt. Rose Ave. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Beth A. Schlegel, STS officiating. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. She is survived by a daughter, Margaret k. Sleeger of York; daughter-in-law, Eva Sleeger; three grandchildren, Bibi Lynn Druck, William H. Sleeger, Jr. husband of Vicki, and Charles E. Sleeger, Sr.; four great-grandchildren, George Druck, Rebecca L. Sleeger, Rachel L. Sleeger, and Charles E. Sleeger, Jr. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia A. Pickle; a son, William H. Sleeger, Sr.; and a grandson, George Druck. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 947 N. George St. York PA 17404. KefferFH.com
