James E. Perkins, age 87, born June 14, 1925, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2012.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orba and Ella (Heffington) Perkins; sisters, Pauline Perkins and Catherine Albert; brother, Charles Perkins; daughter, Cheryl Perkins; and granddaughter, Raina Lehnett.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Perkins of Bee Caves; brothers, Cecil Perkins of Bee Caves and Edgar Perkins of McKenzie, TN; and grandchildren, Millie and Dalton Crain of Helena, MT.

Jimmy served in the South Pacific with the Marine Corps during World War II, he was a member of Boy Scout Troop 5 for 76 years. He was 32 Mason and life member of the Ben Hur Shriners. He served in many capacities in the DAV Chapter 173.

The family will receive friends at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 10408 Hwy. 290 West with interment to follow at Heffington-Perkins Cemetery on Hamilton Pool Road.
