Saturday 22 January 1972:

"Westernport - Ernest C. Fearer, 77, of 312 Maryland Avenue, died yesterday at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, where he had been a patient two weeks.

Born in Markleysburg, Pa., he was a son of the late Joseph and Amanda (VanSicicle) Fearer. His wife, Grace (Laffey) Fearer preceded him in death.

Mr. Fearer retired in 1959 as a machine tender at Westvaco's Luke mill. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Victory Post 155, American Legion and Luke Local 676 UPP.

The body will be at the Boal Funeral Home where friends will be received today from 7 until 9 p.m and tomorrow from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. A service will be conducted there Monday at 1 p.m. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.

Among the survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Louise (John) Roberts, Cleveland, Ohio and Mrs. Patricia Ann (Ellsworth) Kenealy, Westernport and five grandchildren."
