On September the 26, 1919 Mrs. Mary E. Hudson passed away at the home of her sister Mrs. Willis Daniels, of near Strong City. Mrs. Hudson had spent more than eighty-nine years in this world a long life filled with useful service. For seventy-five years she had been an active member of the Methodist church and those who knew her best say her life was one of constant prayer and devoted Christianity which was an inspiration to those with whom she came in contact. She has passed away but her influcence is still living and will continue to live on as those whom she touched touch the lives of others. It is sad to give up loved ones yet there is satisfaction in the pleasant memory of one who like Mrs. Hudson was ready to go and spend more than usual number of years in service.
The deceased leaves two children, S.E. Hudson of Louisville, Kentucky, and Mrs. Ella Hubert of Kimmundy, Illinois, a sister, Margaret Daniels of Strong City, and W.V. Jurgens of Cheyenne her nephew whom she raised.
Rev. A.A. McCleskey conducted the funeral services after which interment took place in the Strong City Cemetery, Strong City, Oklahoma.∼Cannelton Enquirer, 4 Oct 1919, Mary E. Hudson, died at the age of 89 years, 9 months and 15 days in Oklahoma, Obituary. ??
