Wallace and Mary Elizabeth Herrington (1834-1867) daughter of Joseph Herrington, had two children both born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wood County, Wisconsin:
i. William Gideon Scott, born 19 June 1865 and died 11 May 1943 in Wenatchee, Chelan, Washington
ii. Mary Elizabeth Scott, born 03 August 1867 and died 11 September 1956 in Newberg, Yamhill, Oregon
Wallace's first wife died in September of 1867 short after childbirth. He married a second time to Betsy Aldhouse Polensk on 31 March 1868 in Juneau County, Wisconsin, daughter of Michael and Louisa Polenski. She was born in December 1849 in Germany and died about 1930 in Marshfield, Wood, Wisconsin. They had three additional children:
i. Charles W. Scott, born in December 1871 in Wisconsin and died after 1900 in Wisconsin; married Elizabeth Mills
ii. Ella May Scott, born in June 1873 in Illinois and died after 1910
iii. Irene M. Scott, born about 1874 in Wisconsin and died after 1880
