Joel Snow, 69, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, January 17, 1967, at his home in Au Sable Forks, New York.

He was born December 5, 1887, the son of Benjamin and Ruth (Curtis) Snow in Au Sable Forks.

He was traffic manager for the J. & J. Rogers Co. in Au Sable Forks for 50 years prior to his retirement.

He was a veteran of World War I and a former trustee of Au Sable Forks Methodist Church. He was also past Master and trustee of Tahawus Lodge, 790, F. & A. M.

Mr. Snow was for many years treasurer of the Au Sable Forks Fire Dept., in which capacity he served the fire department faithfully until his recent resignation. He was president of the former Fern Lake Campers Association, the many members of which acquired property rights from the J. & J. Rogers Company bordering Fern Lake.

He was survived by his wife, the former Shirley Felio; two sons, Lt. Col. Harold Snow of Washington, D. C., and Hobart Snow of Plattsburgh, New York; a brother, James Snow, Sr. of Au Sable Forks; a sister, Mrs. Emily Williams of Detroit, Michigan, and several grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, January 19, 1967, at 2 p.m. at the Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Home in Au Sable Forks. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Au Sable Forks.
