Mrs. Ella Govett, 75, of 1650 San Pablo Avenue, a Fresno area resident for 53 years, died this morning in a local hospital.
A native of Seguin, Tex., Mrs. Govett moved to California in 1911 and settled in the Rolinda area where her husband Edwin S., owned and operated a grape farm. They moved to Fresno after his retirement 17 years ago.
Mrs. Govett was a member of the St. Paul’s Methodist Church. She and her husband would have observed their 58th wedding anniversary Friday.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Govett is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Heppie Cobb of Fresno and Mrs. Bonnie Martin of Madera; a son, Johnson Govett of Bakersfield; a sister, Mrs. Lollie Butler of Sequin, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be announced by the Lisle Funeral Home.
