Betty June Reynolds, 82, of Ollie, died Jan. 2, 2013, at her home in Ollie.

She was born March 7, 1930, in Fairfield, the daughter of Bret Hart and Treva Kit Stull Davis. On Nov. 28, 1948, Betty was united in marriage to Gordon Reynolds at the Ollie Mehtodist Church in Ollie.

She graduated from the Ollie High School with the class of 1947. Following marriage, Betty and Gordon purchased a mobile home and traveled throughout Iowa, Illinois and Nebraska, where Gordon found work as a crane operator. When they moved back to the Ollie area, Betty stayed home to raise their family and to help Gordon after they bought their farm. When her family was grown, Betty went to work as a ceertified nurse's aid in Sigourney.

Betty was a ball of energy and never knew a stranger. She was a member of the Ollie Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #549 for more than 50 years, the Ollie Methodist Chruch and later the Prairie View United Methodist Church, a member of the Grandmother's Club, the I'll be Seeing You Club, the Ollie Betterment Committee and worked many years volunteering on the Ollie Big Days Committee.

She is survived by her husband of over 64 years, Gordon Reynolds of Ollie; two daughters, Pam Reynolds of Ottumwa and Lisa(Steve)Reynolds of Maryville, IL; three grandchildren, Bart J.(Teresa)Reynolds, Barry Reynolds and Tyler(Stefanie)Roberts; three great-grandchildren, Jesianne, Delrae and Porter Reynolds; a sister, Karolyn(Harold)Schrader of Ollie; a brother, Junior(Carol)Davis of Fairfield; and many neices and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Frances and Bill Davis; and two sisters, Fern Darby and Jean Reynolds.

Memorial services will be 11 am Tuesday in the Prairie View United Methodist Church; with Rev. Dave Peterson and Rev. Sharon Bennell officiating. An Eastern Star service will be at 10:30 am Tuesday in the sanctuary of the Prairie View United Mehtodist Church prior to the service. As was her wish her body has been cremated and burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Betty Reynolds Memorial Fund, Ollie, IA. Fremont Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
