Mrs. Clare Riley, age 65, of Colquitt died Sunday, May 30, 2010, at her residence. A memorial service was held Tuesday, June 1, at 3:00 p.m. at Colquitt First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Carl Marshall and Pastor Randy Stephens of New Covenant Church in Valdosta officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 1, 2010, from 2:30- 3:00 PM. in the Connection Area of First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Riley was a homemaker, a born again Christian who loved her Lord and a member of Colquitt First Baptist Church. She was a 1967 graduate of the University of Georgia. The couple met at UGA five days after her husband, Bill, was out of the the U.S. Army.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Riley of Colquitt; two sons, Captain William S. (Abby) Riley, Jr. of Dahlonega and Michael Riley of Marietta; one brother, William F. (Patricia) Bartee Jr. of Atlanta; and three grandchildren, Shiloh Riley, Jaeden Riley, and Jack Riley.
Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
